PUR adhesives are a special type of adhesive. Their molecular chains contain reactive groups such as urethane (-NHCOO-) and/or isocyanate (-NCO). These groups undergo irreversible chemical reactions with moisture in the air, exhibiting extremely high reactivity. PUR adhesives exhibit excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials, including porous materials such as wood, leather, fabric, paper, and ceramics, as well as smooth surfaces such as plastics, metals, glass, and rubber.
Acrylic resins used in polyurethane (PUR) adhesives are highly valued for their excellent adhesion to polar substrates, good film-forming properties, and outstanding UV and weathering resistance—properties that contribute to the durability and clarity of adhesive systems. Product Description
SA-528 is an high adhesion transparent thermoplastic solid acrylic Resin, the main components of which are methyl methacrylate (MMA) and n-butyl methacrylate (n-BMA) polymers. It has the characteristics of low odor, good solubility, strong adhesion, good dispersibility and good weather resistance. Thermoplastic solid acrylic resin SA-528 can be used in PUR adhesives to effectively balance the initial adhesion and melt fluidity of PUR adhesives. Its long molecular chain can improve the wettability of the colloid to the substrate and avoid stringing during application. The design of Tg=56℃ enables the resin to maintain rigidity at room temperature (ensuring storage stability), while rapidly softening at the standard PUR application temperature, achieving low-temperature coating and rapid film formation. The hydroxyl value is 7mgKOH/g, which ensures moderate cross-linking with isocyanate to avoid embrittlement of the adhesive layer, greatly improving the overall performance of the PUR adhesive.
